Según la OMS, las enfermedades producidas por alimentos, continúan siendo el problema de Salud Pública más extendido en el mundo. La prevención y monitoreo regular del agua que utilizamos en nuestros hogares, empresas e industrias es el primer paso para combatir los micoorganismos que producen enfermedades y de esta forma ofrecer productos y servicios de calidad.

Microbiológicamente hablando, demostrar que el agua es apta para el consumo humano se mide por un Indicador de Potabilidad  llamado  Escherichia Coli, representante de la familia de los Coliformes Fecales; la ausencia de éste microorganismo previene a nuestros consumidores de contraer una enfermedad que puede provocar serios trastornos gastrointestinales (diarrea, vómito).

Laboratorio San José realiza a las pruebas para determinar la calidad del agua que usted utiliza en la preparación de las bebidas y comidas que ofrece a sus clientes en su negocio, hotel o restaurante; estos análisis cumplen con la regulación del Decreto Ejecutivo NO. 32324-H publicado en la Gaceta No. 84 del 3 de Mayo del 2005. Los esquemas de prevención en salud indican que éstos análisis también deben aplicarse al hielo.

El análisis para determinar si el agua es potable incluye los siguientes indicadores:

  • Escherichia coli
  • Coliformes Totales
Cada 6 meses es la frecuencia con que se deben realizar las pruebas en el agua empleada para la preparación de alimentos.

Instrucciones para la toma de muestras de agua de diferentes fuentes:

Para toma de muestras de agua de grifo o llave de tubo, de preferencia se deben tomar dos frascos recolectores con agua, se cobra solamente un análisis, el segundo frasco es de respaldo  del laboratorio, en caso de que se derrame la primera muestra o por alguna razón se pierda volumen que requerimos para el análisis.
