Why do the analysis?

Along with the cortisol test, it is used to diagnose disorders of the pituitary (also called pituitary) and adrenal glands (also called adrenal glands) such as Cushing's syndrome, Cushing's disease, Addison's disease, adrenal tumors and pituitary tumors.

When to do the analysis?

When the signs and symptoms associated with an excess or a deficit of cortisol production occur, when the doctor suspects that there may be a hormonal imbalance caused by problems in the pituitary or adrenal glands.
