Why do the analysis?

To determine or monitor estrogen concentrations; to detect hormonal disturbances or imbalances; to monitor treatment in case of infertility; when there are symptoms of menopause; it is also used to analyze the fetal-placental status in early pregnancy.

When to do the analysis?

When there are signs or symptoms of hormonal imbalance, such as abnormal vaginal bleeding, lack of menstruation, early or very late development of the sexual organs; when a person is undergoing treatment to combat infertility or if a menopause treatment is being carried out; when during a risk pregnancy the doctor wants to monitor the state of the placenta and fetal development. In men, when there are signs of feminization, such as breast enlargement (gynecomastia).
