Why do the analysis?

To screen or diagnose herpes simplex virus (HSV) infection

When to do the analysis?

For screening purposes: if there are risk factors for contracting HCV infection.

For diagnostic purposes: if there is a possibility that you have been exposed to the hepatitis C virus, such as through contact with infected blood; if symptoms associated with liver disease occur or when you have been in contact with fluids during sexual intercourse.
