When symptoms of a herpes simplex virus infection occur, such as vesicles or blisters around the genital area or signs and/or symptoms of viral meningitis; if there are certain risk factors.

How do I get the analisys proves?

The determination is made from a venous blood sample or from a smear or scraping of a vesicle or ulcer from the infected area with a swab; in meningitis or encephalitis, a sample of cerebrospinal fluid (CSF).
